60mph M1 motorway speed limit proposed

The government has announced a proposal to lower the motorway speed limit from 70mph to 60mph over a 32-mile stretch of the M1. The plan, which has just been put out to consultation, would lower the speed limit to 60mph between junction 28, near Matlock in Derbyshire, to junction 35a, north of Rotherham – in a bid to improve air quality by reducing vehicle emissions. 2014 Hyundai Sonata gets a light refresh

Hyundai refreshed the Sonata sedan for 2014. New enhancements include a refined grille design, new wheels, HID xenon headlights and a sport tuned exhaust. The Sonata received a price bump of $155, bringing the total to $21,350.

Volkswagen will unveil the production version of its MK7 Golf GTi at next week’s Geneva Motor Show, marking more than 30 years of the venerable hot hatch.
