A Very Merry Red Bull Christmas
Sat, 25 Dec 2010Red Bull’s 2010 Christmas Card Over the last couple of years we’ve featured Bernie Ecclestone’s Christmas Cards as our Christmas Day greeting to readers, as they’ve been by far the most amusing to come our way. In 2008 we saw Bernie’s Christmas card feature a mickey-take of Max Mosley and his extra cirruclar activities amongst the more ‘forceful’ working girls in London town. Ian Cameron receives Welsh Motoring Writers' Automotive Achievement Award
Tue, 19 Nov 2013Former Rolls-Royce chief designer Ian Cameron is the latest recipient of the Welsh Motoring Writers (WMW) Automotive Achievement Award. The award was presented at the WMW annual dinner at HMS Nelson's Wardroom in Portsmouth, UK, by the group's patron and former winner, Land Rover director of design Richard Woolley. "As we celebrate a decade since the launch of Phantom and the establishment of the new home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, West Sussex, it is a most fitting time for Ian to be bestowed with this honor," said James Warren, Rolls-Royce product and corporate communications manager, UK.
56% of drivers 'underestimated car expense'
Thu, 10 Jul 2014MORE THAN half of people who have bought a second-hand car in the last two years have found it more expensive to run than they expected, according to a Government-backed body. Some 56% of motorists said that total cost, including maintenance, repairs, insurance and fuel had turned out to be higher than anticipated and one in five drivers (20%) have resorted to going into debt just to keep their vehicle on the road, the Money Advice Service (MAS) found. One in four (26%) of the 3,000 people surveyed who have bought a second-hand car since 2012 now has regrets about their purchase, with many of them saying they had not worked out whether it was really affordable or that the purchase price was too much in the first place.
