Connectivity and customization for the 2012 Chevrolet Silverado
Mon, 29 Aug 2011Heated and cooled seats, a special White Diamond Edition paint job and a new navigation system are among the upgrades for the 2012 Chevrolet Silverado. Both heavy-duty and light-duty versions also get the option of a Wi-Fi system, installed by the dealer, and new front-end designs. For 2012, the pickup will have a chrome mesh grille with a chrome surround on LS and LT models, while LTZ grilles will have body-color surrounds.
Subaru BRZ Turbo to get 280bhp
Mon, 22 Oct 2012The much hoped for Subaru BRZ Turbo – the Subaru version of the Toyota GT86 – is set to arrive in 2014 with 280bhp. Last year we reported that a Subaru BRZ Turbo was in the planning (even though the official line was that the BRZ and GT86 would stick with natural aspiration) and now it looks like development is well advanced and the BRZ Turbo will arrive in 2014. Automotive News are reporting that Subaru are working hard on a turbocharged direct injection version of the BRZ with a single twin-scroll turbo they’ve developed in-house, as opposed to the port injection system currently used in the BTZ, which is a Toyota system.
McLaren P1 – 0-124mph in under 7 seconds & just 375 P1s being built
Tue, 26 Feb 2013The new McLaren P1 – to be unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show – will hit 124mph in under 7 seconds. Just 375 being built. McLaren say that the P1 – which we know has 903 bhp – will get to 62mph ‘under 3 seconds’, to 124mph in ‘under 7 seconds’ and to 186mph in ‘less than 17 seconds’.
