McLaren P1 supercar (2012) first official pictures
Tue, 18 Sep 2012Forget the abstract fluorescent light show teaser released earlier this month, because we’ve got official pictures of McLaren's latest supercar challenger. It's called the P1 and it certainly gives food for thought to those who were disappointed by the MP4-12C's styling. Senate committee sends auto-safety bill to the floor for vote
Thu, 10 Jun 2010The Senate Commerce Committee voted today to pass a far-reaching vehicle safety bill that has largely won both automaker and consumer support, sending the measure to the full Senate. The bill passed without objections from any senators. The legislation, crafted in the wake of Toyota's safety recalls this year, resembles a House bill that also is now on the floor of that chamber.
Vauxhall Corsa VXR (2007): first official pictures
Wed, 03 Jan 2007By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 03 January 2007 00:01 Vauxhall Corsa VXR: the lowdown Vauxhall will unleash its hottest-ever supermini in March: the 190bhp Corsa VXR. In keeping with the UK-only VXR branding, the hot hatch will be spruced up with a butch bodykit, a series of chassis tweaks and a turbocharged version of Vauxhall's 1.6-litre engine. Vauxhall's previous sporting superminis have left us lukewarm, but this latest one promises some fireworks in the engine department: the company quotes 0-62mph in just 6.8sec, and it tops out at 140mph.
