How To Properly Measure Your Bike for Saddlebags

Although we provide a saddlebag fit chart for our deluxe throw-over saddlebags, our listing of which bags work well with various bikes comes from our customers' reports. The best way to tell if these saddlebags will fit your bike is to compare the saddlebag measurements to the available space on your bike. Just use these easy to follow instructions. Since all bikes are somewhat different, use the pictures as a reference only.

1. First, measure the horizontal distance from the edge of the rear turn signal to directly below where the rider's lower back aligns on the seat.
2. Next, measure the vertical distance from the exhaust pipe to approximately 3-inches below the top of the rear fender.
3. When comparing saddlebag dimensions to your bike's available space, remember that you'll need at least 1-inch clearance between the bottom of the bag and the exhaust pipe.

Saddlebags Installation Guide:
1) No need for any mounting hardware or support brackets.
2) Just put under passenger seat over the rear fender and tie-down

Swinton Insurance claim quote requests for bigger cars are down 20% Swinton say that it has seen an increase of 25% in quote requests for smaller engined cars in the last six months and a decrease of 20% in car insurance quotes for cars over 1.8 litres (which, short of the big-engined cars being scrapped begs the question: What’s happened to the big-engined cars? Did they just disappear, or are they just not being insured?). But this got us thinking.

As Jaguar confirmed its new F-type sports car at the 2012 New York auto show, it issued some teaser video footage of the new £55,000 roadster landing in showrooms in spring 2013. Jag ambassador and former racer Martin Brundle hitches a lift with the company's chief dynamics engineer Mike Cross for a few hot laps in the F-type prototype around its handling circuit at Gaydon. We can safely ignore the hyperbole poring forth ('It's responsive, it's a great car to drive') but it's a good chance to see the all-aluminium F-type in action.
