Top Gear’s James May crashes
Thu, 01 Oct 2009James May has a mishap with a hot air balloon and a caravan in Cambridgeshire But now it’s Captain Slow’s turn to have a bit of a coming together, Appropriately, considering his apparent aversion for the flamboyant and reckless, he managed to do it in a hot air balloon. Which means it was another of Top Gear’s mad races, this time with May in a caravan attached to a hot air balloon over the Cambridgeshire countryside, and the Hamster in a Lambo. The hot air balloon was meant to land on the village green at Eltisley in Cambridgeshire.
Fiat Panda Cross comes to the UK
Mon, 11 Aug 2008By Tom Richards Motor Industry 11 August 2008 13:04 Finally Fiat is launching the Panda Cross in the UK. It's essentially a plastic addenda-clad version of the existing Panda 4x4, but the Cross has so far only been available in mainland Europe. Like the exisiting Panda 4x4 it features a permanent four-wheel drive system and an electronic differential lock, so should you choose to take the fields home, traction won’t be a problem. But the Panda Cross also gets new round front and rear lights, chunky side sills in contrasting colours to the body, new bumpers, 15-inch alloys and a two-tone interior.
Aston Martin One-77 (2009) wins top design prize at Villa d’Este
Mon, 27 Apr 2009By Tim Pollard (photography by Mike Goodbun) First Official Pictures 27 April 2009 10:39 It’s having a long drawn-out gestation, but Aston Martin’s One-77 supercar made its world show debut at this weekend’s Villa d’Este, where it scooped the top prize for concept cars and prototypes. We’ll forgive you if you thought the One-77 had already been unveiled, but the car at Geneva was a technical cutaway rolling chassis – the first finished car is the one show in our photos above. The One-77 won more than 30% of the votes among the eight cars entered in its category.
