New Nos Mopar 440 Cast Crankshaft Standard Standard Very Hard To Find on 2040-parts.com
Union City, California, United States
Up for auction / your consideration is this New Old Stock, Original Equipment Manufacturer 440 Cast Crankshaft. The part Number on it 4027175-4, 9326 A pie circle followed by CFD. This was acquired back in 1978 with two other crankshaft that were the same as this one. This is the last one left of the three. It was bought from Chrysler from their parts division as a stock replacement crankshaft for a 440.
This is brand new for 1978 and was never unwrapped or used or modified or installed in any thing. In the first photo is a picture of me cutting the last factory strap that was left on the box. I have taken a picture of the box and you can see it is in poor shape, but intact enough for you to see that it is a MOPAR box with a MOPAR tag on it. The tag in unreadable. What is very nice, is the completely stock/vintage original cast crankshaft that is inside of this box. Please look at the photos and you can see all the factory marks of paint on the crankshaft. You can also see the cosmoline that was applied by the factory after this was made and conditioned for shipment. I have not removed any of the cosmoline as this was applied to stop any corrosion or rust from forming on this crankshaft. As you examine and study the photos, you can see this is a cast crankshaft made by CFD, I believe is the Canadian Foundry Department. The counter weights look to be drilled for a factory type and size of bob weight. I assure you that I have not modified or changed, or altered any of the holes in the counter weights. This crankshaft is New Old Stock, meaning it has not been installed or mocked up, or even taken out of it's box until I did so for the photos. This is also Original Equipment Manufacturer made by Chrysler for it's MOPAR Parts division, as a replacement part. It is extremely hard to find one of these crankshafts in this kind of condition. Sure there are ones right here on eBay that have been resized. The regrind maybe in spec or at the lower or upper end in specs. This one is just like it came from the factory stock, nothing changed. Sure you can get a forged crankshaft, that will probably be reground to another size, which may or may not be in the specification that you want. Try and find one from the factory that is standard, standard in sizes, nearly more impossible to find that this one is. I am not saying you should replace a forged one with a cast one, I am just saying these are extremely hard to find in this condition and this factory stock sizes. This will be shipped by FedEx Ground or UPS Ground as it weight about 67 pounds which is beyond the limit of the USPS services. It will be double box to protect it during shipment. The box size is 11 inches by 11 inches by 26 inches and weights in about 67 pounds. The eBay shipping Calculator is incorrect on its calculation as it will not cost $24.75 to ship this. It will coat about $55.00 to $75.00 to ship this with UPS Ground or FedEx ground / Home Delivery. Thank you for looking at this auction. |

One Lap of the Web: Willys CJ2 rat rod, Blade Runner sketchbook and vintage Alpine A110 footage
Mon, 11 Nov 2013-- Even if you don't remember every nuance of the plot of the 1982 film Blade Runner, or even which of the myriad versions of the film you saw, its powerful visual images and bizarre-but-plausible technologies have likely stuck with you. From glowing umbrellas to the unforgettable flying "spinners," Blade Runner was fascinating look at a future that wasn't. Although technically the film was set in 2019, so we've got a few years for replicant technology, and Los Angeles smog levels, to catch up with fiction.
