I have decided I am not going to ever restore a Piper L-4 or Stinson L-5. I am selling some of the Items I have collected over the years. Here is a NEW NOS ( New Old Stock ) Microphone. Just try and find one of these in New condition.
There are vendors on Ebay that advertise Used ones for over $120. I am starting the bid at much less than a New General Aviation Microphone!
I Removed this from the original package and tested, it works Great, but, remember these were Carbon Mic's back then, not noise cancelling. Heck, most of us old codgers grew up using carbon any way.
This style was used with AVT -112A and many other WWII Transmitters and later in Korea & After.

These Microphones were used in L-2 Taylorcraft, L-3 Aeronca, L-4 Piper, Stinson L-5, Interstate L-6, PT-13, PT-17, PT-19, PT-22, T-6, Bombers, Trainers, Cargo,Older Fighters and after the War in many post war General Aviation Aircraft. Fri, 03 Jun 2011Ford on Friday offered a glimpse of its assembly process for the Mustang Boss 302S race car by hosting a tour of the Niche Build Line adjacent to the Mustang assembly plant in Flat Rock, Mich. The Niche Build Line, when not assembling race cars, is where prototype vehicles are assembled prior to full production. Mustang bodies-in-white are first taken to an outside vendor, where roll cages are installed.
Volkswagen preps the Golf EV for 2013 launch
Thu, 16 Jun 2011Volkswagen AG has begun delivery of a second test fleet of Golf blue-e-motion EVs to customers in Germany, the automaker said in a statement. Of the 80 cars being tested in the fleet, 53 will be delivered in Berlin, with the rest going to Hannover and Wolfsburg. The vehicles will be distributed to businesses, public bodies and private motorists, although the majority of cars in Berlin will be tested by corporate customers, as VW views this group as the largest market for EVs in the future.
