Here's a magnificent new pair of Jaguar factory replacement Door Wood Fillets in stunning Walnut veneer - it will fit all 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990 & 1991 XJS Convertibles, Cabriolets and Coupes, which have the more common darker Walnut wood option.
It will fit [BUT NOT MATCH] the bleached honey look of the lighter Elm wood fitted to 1982-85 models, plus the 1989-91 'Classic Collection' cars.
Here we've taken the last of Jaguar's new-old-stock XJS Door Panel Wood Cappings, and created superbly matched pairs - as previous delighted purchasers have often said, " if you didn't tell me that this veneer did not necessarily come from the same tree, I'd never have known it!"....Our photos show the same set - the second picture was taken in flash to better illustrate the beauty of the burl. Such a steal to replace your flaking, faded, peeling ugly old originals!

EVs are back in Revenge of the Electric Car
Wed, 28 Sep 2011Revenge of the Electric Car, by writer/director Chris Paine, follows General Motors' Bob Lutz, Nissan's Carlos Ghosn, Tesla's Elon Musk and backyard inventor Greg "Gadget" Abbott from 2007 to 2010, when their respective companies were getting in (or returning) to the electric-car game. Paine also wrote and directed the contentious 2006 documentary Who Killed the Electric Car? That film followed the GM EV1 electric vehicle from buyer's hands to the junkyard when the company controversially collected and destroyed them all.

At some point, new car sales in the UK must surely start to ease as the economic pressure bite, but so far in 2012 we’ve had an inexorable rise in numbers. The latest figures for November show new car sales (well, to be precise, new car registrations – which include Pre-Reg cars) up by an impressive 11.3 per cent, following on from a rise of 12.1 per cent in October, with private buyers driving sales rather than fleet.

Which has surprised us a bit – we rather expected it to start turning up before that. But in lots of ways it makes sense to have Jaguar’s new Cat with Big Claws making waves on the Goodwood Hillclimb as the Goodwood Festival of Speed is going to be something of Jaguar-fest this year.
