This is a new OEM OMC P/N 394823 3 lug shifter clutch dog used in 1985 to 2001 9.9 and 15 HP, 1996 to 2001 8 HP, 1980 to 1996 25 and 1986 to 1996 28 HP Evinrude and Johnson outboards.  If you have any doubts about fitment for your motor please contact us with your model and serial number before ordering.

Please note:  By purchasing the forward and reverse gear, clutch dog and cradle as a set you can upgrade the pre-1985 9.9 or 15 HP models from the older 2 lug style, which helps prevent the rounding of the drive lugs that leads to jumping out of gear.  The complete set is shown in the last photo.
