Following a tease for the new Ford Focus ST earlier this week, Ford has now revealed the new ST – and the ST diesel – as Ford’s refreshed ST heads to the Goodwood Festival of Speed for its public debut today. Now available not only as a hatchback and estate, but with a petrol or diesel too, the 2015 ST gets lots of cosmetic teaks that match those the rest of the Focus range got recently.

Despite news of flat-lining car sales across Europe, the show was one of the defiant rolling out of new models. And in the process it’s perhaps become ‘softer’. The old X-Trail was more rugged than most modern compact SUVs, but the new X-Trail has arrived with a choice of Front Wheel Drive versions – no doubt aimed at keeping the price down – as well as cuddlier looks.
