Supermarkets launch new petrol price war

British supermarkets have launched a new fuel price war which will see petrol prices dip down below the 130 pence per litre mark. Sainsbury’s was first to move, by cutting a huge 6p per litre off the price of unleaded – taking prices down to 129.9p. Caterham-Lola SP/300R (2012) first official pictures

This is the new Caterham-Lola SP/300R, just unveiled at the 2011 Autosport show. The SP/300R is the first sports prototype in Caterham’s history, and the result of a tie-up between Caterham Cars and British racing and engineering firm Lola. The Caterham-Lola SP/300R has been primarily designed for a new one-make race series that will start in 2012, and as a trackday tool for the rich.

Icona reveals first render of Vulcano super sportscar

Icona will unveil a one-off super sports car dubbed Vulcano at next month's Shanghai auto show. The Vulcano was coachbuilt in Italy and was designed by the Shanghai-based Italian design house to show an evolution of its design language, first seen on the 2011 Icona Fuselage concept designed by Samuel Chuffart, Icona's design director. Icona says the design aims express the power within the hood while keeping the shapes harmonious.
