One pair of NORS (new old replacement stock) leaf springs and shackles for the front axle of 1937, 1938 Plymouth and Dodge vehicles. Fits most applications, double check your dimensions before bidding. Leaf width: 1-3/4", Height: 8" - 8-1/4", Length: 36-1/2", Distance between end loops at their centers: 34-1/2". Both stamped: 78 220 B848. Three shackle and bushing packages are NOS Mopar in their original box as illustrated: 939710 right front shackle with bushings, 939721 front left spring rear shackle with bushings and 939722 front right spring rear shackle with bushings. The left front shackle is a NORS part identical to the 939711 left front shackle except it appears to have right-handed threads at both ends and appears to fit into each of the right-handed threaded bushings pressed into one end of each spring by the spring manufacturer.

General Motors to keep green car technology in house
Wed, 12 Aug 2009For the first time in its 100-year history, General Motors plans to design, develop and manufacture electric motors for its growing array of gasoline-electric hybrids and electric vehicles. The electric motors used in GM's current lineup of hybrids are made to GM specifications by outside vendors. GM wants to bring the design and manufacturing in-house to save money and to apply its own technology to boost performance, lower weight and reduce power consumption, said Larry Nitz, GM's chief hybrid powertrain engineer.
