Global Vehicle Architecture opens new fully-equipped 3D Design Studio in Beijing
Wed, 04 Dec 2013Global Vehicle Architecture (GVA) – a specialist independent design company encompassing all forms of transportation design – has opened a fully-equipped design studio in Beijing to cater for the growing demand for design support services. GVA is unique in that it is the first European automotive designer led facility of its kind in China offering complete in-house modeling capabilities. The 2,000 square-meter studio, situated only 10 minutes from the 798 Art district and in close proximity to Beijing's airport, boasts extensive facilities including an 18-meter plate area, and prototype car build capabilities.
VW will build small run of XL1 plug-in hybrid
Wed, 26 Jan 2011Volkswagen will begin production of its XL1 plug-in hybrid in two years. "We want to go into series production with this car starting in 2013," VW chairman Ferdinand Piech told Automotive News Europe on Tuesday at an event in Doha, Qatar, ahead of the 2011 Qatar auto show where VW unveiled an XL1 prototype. McLaren announces markets for MP4-12C
Fri, 21 May 2010McLaren announced 35 markets where it will sell the Formula-One-inspired MP4-12C on Friday, including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Toronto. Ten markets in the North America will sell the ultra-light, high-performance sports car starting in the spring of 2011. Other global markets include London, Monaco, Paris, Frankfurt, Kuwait and Johannesburg.
