New Pioneer Ts-sw841d +1yr Mfg. Waranty Car 8" Shallow Slim 500w Subwoofer 4 Ohm on 2040-parts.com
McHenry, Illinois, US
Pioneer's innovative TS-SW841D 8" subwoofer packs a punch that belies its slender cross-section. Its Air Suspension Control System eliminates the need for a conventional spider structure. Instead, a cushion of locked-in air acts like a spring, providing smooth, precise movement of the woofer. This special design keeps the total depth of the sub comfortably under 3", for bold bass in places regular subwoofers can't fit.
The one-piece die-cast aluminum basket sports a radical fin design that provides extra cooling and rock-solid resonance control. Rugged internal parts, a powerful strontium magnet, and a cone-reinforcing aluminum dust cap round out the package. Pair this sub with a special low-profile enclosure from Pioneer to get the most out of this slender powerhouse.

Features
Shallow Mount Woofer: Pioneer's Shallow-Mount subwoofers are designed to provide wider installation options for a broad range of vehicles. They can be mounted behind or under the seats of many vehicles. The TS-SW841D has interlaced Carbon/Glass fiber reinforced IMPP (Injection Molded Polypropylene) composite cones. This cone design is lightweight and rigid, resulting in clean, powerful bass response.
Air Suspension System: Rather than using a standard spider to control cone movement, Pioneer created an Air Suspension system; using two cones with a sealed air space between them. The air locked between the main and drive cones creates a spring-like effect between them moving in unison. The dual cone structure maintains better linearity, resulting in consistently clear, powerful, wide ranging bass response. The drive cone also deflects air pressure inside the enclosure, which further contributes to the bass output of the small package.
Cast Aluminum Basket: The one-piece cast aluminum basket assembly holds the motor assembly, cone, and magnet structure securely in place. The benefits of this design include reduced internal stress, superior damping, and increased magnetic efficiency.
Surround: The two cones use three-layer, fiber-woven, M-shaped radial surrounds to attach to the basket and form the Air Suspension System. This design keeps the voice coil centered, even under high power, for clear and powerful bass.
Terminals: The spring compression binding post terminals will accept a pin connector, a single banana plug, or bare wire up to 10 gauge.
Specifications
Sealed Box Volume: The sealed box sizes recommended by Pioneer range from 0.15 ft³ to 0.5 ft³; within this range the ideal size is 0.4 ft³.
Vented Box Volume: The vented box sizes recommended by Pioneer range from 0.25ft³ to 0.5 ft³; within this range the ideal size is 0.4 ft³. The ideal port size for a 0.4 ft³ enclosure is 2.5" diameter x 6" long.
Single Reflex Bandpass Volume: The bandpass box sizes recommended by Pioneer range from 0.25 ft³ per chamber to 0.4 ft³ per chamber; within this range the ideal size is 0.35 ft³ per chamber. One 3" diameter x 6" long port should be used in an enclosure with 0.35 ft³ chambers.
Infinite-Baffle Operation: The woofer is also optimized for infinite-baffle operation so that it can be installed in a variety of locations, without the need for a dedicated enclosure.

Rolls Royce Ghost EWB launched +video
Tue, 19 Apr 2011Rolls Royce Ghost EWB - a Chinese launch Really, you wouldn’t expect Rolls Royce to release something as common as a long wheelbase Ghost, would you? No, this Ghost is an extended wheelbase Ghost – the Rolls Royce Ghost EWB. When we reported back in December that the LWB Ghost was getting close – and the Ghost DHC and Ghost Coupe, for that matter – we’d half expected Rolls Royce might get a shake on and take the Ghost EWB to Geneva.
