Lamborghini LP560-4 Superleggera coming?
Fri, 18 Sep 2009What appears to be a Lamborhgini LP560-4 Superleggera out testing But if the photo above is anything to go by it looks as if Lamborghini is planning a Superleggera version of the LP560-4 sooner rather than later. Which would work out pretty well for Lamborghini as they have rashly declared that they will deliver a new car at every road show, and with the replacement for the Murcielago cars – LP640/LP650-4/LP670-4 – still some way off, this could be a good solution. They’ve run out of new cars for shows after revealing the Lamborghini Reventon Roadster this week at Frankfurt, so they need to get a bit of a hustle on before the next major show if they’re going to keep their promise.
Chrysler is crushing 93 pre-production Dodge Vipers
Thu, 06 Mar 2014Chrysler has ordered 93 first-generation Dodge Vipers to be crushed, including what is believed to be the fourth Viper ever made. A Chrysler representative sent a letter to South Puget Sound Community College, which currently owns the Viper with VIN# 4, informing them that they must crush the car within two weeks. Automakers regularly donate unsellable non-street legal vehicles to automotive-engineering programs at colleges and universities, reserving the right to order the vehicles destroyed for insurance purposes.
Video: Possible new Pantera spotted in Italy
Thu, 05 May 2011A YouTube video shows what appears to be the newest evolution of the hallowed De Tomaso Pantera. Caught leaving the De Tomaso factory in Grugliasco, Italy, the heavily camouflaged two-door coupe did not muffle the brawny engine sound. The rumor mill is speculating about a V8 powerplant sourced from Ford, like the original, and an aluminum body.
