Citroen C-Bionic Antonin Maire D'Eglise The C-Bionic Concept has an environmental focus exploring several directions of renewable, organic, and bio-engineered materials. At the center of the C-Bionic concept is the idea of using a genetically engineered tree to serve as the main chassis for the vehicle, while the rest of the vehicle would be made out of high-density bio-plastics that in turn could be made out of parts of the tree and other organic materials.
Mitsubishi i MiEV electric vehicle priced at $45,660
Fri, 05 Jun 2009Mitsubishi Motors Corp. has priced its new electric vehicle at 4.38 million yen, or $45,660 at current exchange rates, and wants EVs to account for 20 percent of its global output by 2020. Mitsubishi unveiled the production version of its i MiEV battery-powered car on Friday, saying it aims for 1,400 lease sales to corporate customers and local governments by March 31, 2010.
Plea for 'no drink if driving' this summer
Mon, 11 Aug 2014AN APPEAL has been made to drivers in the UK not to touch a drop of alcohol if they are going to drive. The call comes as data from the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) shows that one in fifteen drivers breath-tested were over the legal limit. Road safety charity Brake has made the plea after figures released by ACPO shows that its national anti-drink-drive campaign in June carried out 63,688 breath tests and 4108 proved positive for excess alcohol or refused a breath test.
