Citroen Divine DS Concept showcases the DS brand’s direction
Fri, 05 Sep 2014The Citroen Divine DS Concept is heading for Paris Citroen do good concepts, and the DS Divine Concept is another slightly barking gilded lily from the French car makers, pointing the way to future DS models and design. About the size of a DS4, the DS Divine is driving the DS brand in a different direction to Citroen, and the lack of any Citroen badging demonstrates Citroen’s intent to set the DS models apart from the regular Citroen models as a standalone brand around the world, much as they already do in China. With a big diamond pattern grill up front and its low, squat stance, the DS Divine looks convincing, even if the oversize alloys and some of the detailing are typically ‘concept’, particularly the windowless back end.
Auctions America revitalizes former Kruse sale
Fri, 17 Sep 2010Despite a few close calls and false starts, Auburn, Ind., remains a town where two large operators hold collector-car auctions at the unofficial end of summer. Worldwide Auctioneers continued at its regular space (though with a much larger sale), and the new kid down the street, Auctions America by RM, took over where Kruse had faltered. Auctions America held a successful rookie effort at the former Kruse Auction Park in Auburn.
Coventry University Degree Show 2010
Thu, 15 Jul 2010Car Design News traveled to Coventry University's BA graduate exhibition last month, the largest and most established of its kind in the UK. Held in the University's School of Art and Design, the sheer number of graduates guaranteed a broad spread of projects. However, the recurring theme this year was of reinterpreting luxury in a more sustainable and socially conscious manner.
