JCB sets new diesel land speed record

During the first run along the Bonneville Salt Flats course on 22 August, the 1500bhp Dieselmax touched 324.24mph.The pit crew then turned the streamliner around on a turntable and prepped it for the second run. On the return, JCB's diesel-powered racer hit 333.339mph.

Thu, 21 Apr 2011The gently tweaked 2012 Jaguar XK It’s not as big an overhaul as the 2012 Jaguar XF, but Jaguar has sensibly had a play to freshen up the XK and keep it looking crisp for a while longer, rolling out the 2012 Jaguar XK at the New York Motor Show. Changes to the XK for 2012 are pretty much as we predicted, although not quite as close to the Jaguar XKR-S as we’d thought likely. The main change on the nose is the arrival of the new headlights we saw on the XKR-S with integrated LED running lights.
Mercedes-Benz reveals Vision Golf Car concept
Mon, 22 Jul 2013Mercedes-Benz has revealed a concept of what it bills as the “ultimate golf cart” as part of activities at this year's British Open at the Muirfield Golf Club in Scotland. The concept was created at Mercedes-Benz's advanced design studio in California using ideas submitted by golf fans in a competition held by the German car maker. The swoopy two-seater adopts a number of design cues from current Mercedes-Benz models along with a doorless, one-box profile to give it a contemporary appearance that transcends traditional golf cart design.
