Whether you are driving a custom street rod or a full on racecar, these all aluminum 2x4 blower carbs are the right performance choice. QFT's 2x4 blower carbs feature shortened throttle levers for clearance. The QFT engineers added an external vacuum reference tube for the power valve to connect to the intake manifold with a hose. This allows the power valve to see only positive pressure at Wide Open Throttle, eliminating the possibility of the power valve closing if the supercharger starts to "out run" the carb. The 2x4 blower carbs have all the vacuum ports removed to avoid any plugs or hoses blowing off under boost conditions. The specially designed throttle body features built in channels to guide excess fuel from the top of the throttle plates around the throttle shafts and back into the intake manifold. This lessens the possibility of the fuel build up running out the throttle shafts onto the hot intake manifold.

Skateboarder Rob Dyrdek kick-flips a Chevrolet Sonic for ad
Mon, 19 Dec 2011Professional skateboarder and MTV star Rob Dyrdek did something with a Chevrolet Sonic on Saturday that's never been done before: a kick flip. That's what they call it when a skateboard, or a car, corkscrews off a ramp, landing back on four wheels. The stunt was part of a Chevrolet ad campaign that started with the new hatchback driving out of a plane with a parachute like a skydiver.
Cross-country in a Corvette Stingray: Day Three
Mon, 26 Aug 2013Day two of our cross-country Corvette trek ended in North Platte, Neb., where we encountered a couple of C2 Sting Rays in the parking lot of our Holiday Inn. We shot some photos and hit the sack around 1 a.m. Day three would be the second-longest of the trip at around 14 hours.

When Honda finally confirmed the Civic Type R Mugen for very limited production – just 20 were being made – back in 2009, we did comment that the price - £38,599 and a £12k premium over the stock Type R – did not auger well for sales. In the event Honda has only managed to shift sixteen of the original Type R Mugen, but despite that sales failure they have decided to punt out a more powerful – and inevitably more expensive – version of the Type R with a bored and stroke 2.2 litre version of the original 2.0 litre in the Type R – the Honda Civic Type R Mugen 2.2.
