New Old Stock aftermarket rear sprocket, probably from the 1970's-1980's. The early aftermarket parts that were made in Japan are actually better quality than the parts made in China or Taiwan today. Replaces Harley Davidson Part # 41470-62. Fits Harley Davidson Big Twin Panhead Models 1962-1965 and Shovelhead 1966.  51 tooth. Excellent unused condition. Nice black finish. Ready to use. Rivets and dowels included. Some of the rivets and dowels have some light surface rust that will clean off easily with some WD-40. Please see all 10 pictures above.

The Mazda RX-8 facelift for 2010 has been confirmed It’s all much as we said earlier. The Mazda RX-8 gets a facelift pretty much in line with what we’d detailed earlier based on the RX-8′s recent facelift in Japan. The front gets a tweak to bring it more in to line with the family features – as seen on the Mazda 3 – and LED lights are bolted on the back.

17,000 solar panels to power Toyota’s Derbyshire plant

Toyota’s manufacturing plant at Burnaston in Derbyshire, where the Auris and Avensis are built, will install the biggest solar panel system yet seen in a UK car plant.  British Gas, which will stump up the £10 million cost of installing the solar panels, and Toyota are working together to save 2000 tonnes of CO2 emissions a year. Once the solar panels are installed, they claim it will save enough energy to build approximately 7000 cars a year.

BMW's quirky new i3

The side view of the new BMW i3 electric vehicle takes some getting used to, with no two windows the same size or shape. The i3 is high-waisted through the front door and then there's a notch for a taller rear-passenger window and the rear-hinged rear door and a narrow, tapering window at the rear quarter. Yet when you look at the underlying structure -- made of carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic -- an innovative choice for a mass-produced car -- there's a giant side opening from front to rear.
