Kia Car Design Award winners announced in Beijing
Wed, 30 May 2012The first Kia Car Design Award was successfully concluded on 20 May in Beijing, with Chinese student Li Bai being presented the prize for first place by Seon-Ho Youn, Vice President of Kia Design Center. Bai, from Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts, became the first ever winner of the award for his Kia Rhyme Concept, described by Seon-Ho Youn as "a perfect combination of design and Chinese culture." Bai's luxury sports car concept was inspired by Chinese philosophy, which can be seen in the headlamp design that reflects the traditional Chinese Ba gua, or ‘Eight Diagrams'. These are eight diagrams used in Taoist cosmology that represent the fundamental principles of reality through three lines, each line either 'broken' or 'unbroken', representing either yin or yang.
2013 Hyundai Santa Fe UK: Price, Spec, new photos & video
Thu, 04 Oct 2012With the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe about to go on sale (October 15th) we have new UK photos and video and full Santa Fe details. So with the new Santa Fe about to go on sale we though we’d update the details and publish new photos and video for the UK (although there are no swooning beauties in the UK Santa Fe Video – unlike the Dutch one). Hyundai say that their aim with the new Santa Fe was to build on the existing package (which, let’s face it, was a cheap alternative to the offerings from the likes of BMW, Land Rover et al) but add in better looks, better technology and lower running costs.

Mon, 25 Apr 2011That's Z, not ZX folks. One letter makes a world of difference. For all those who remember the 280ZX as a bloated slug, there are remarkably few who recognize the 280Z as a worthy evolution of the original Z car.
