Toyota iQ concept
Tue, 11 Sep 2007By Tim Pollard Motor Shows 11 September 2007 02:53 Toyota iQ: the lowdown The Japanese scored one of the very few surprises of the Frankfurt show this year, with the titchy iQ concept car that previews Toyota’s new sub-Aygo city car. Toyota will install brake override systems to prevent runaway vehicles
Tue, 12 Jan 2010Toyota will install brake override systems on all Toyota, Lexus and Scion vehicles by year end as a way to prevent unintended acceleration. The new system will be put in all vehicles globally, said Yoshi Inaba, president of Toyota North America Inc., in an interview at the Detroit auto show on Monday. The initiative follows a recall last fall of 3.8 million Toyota and Lexus vehicles in the United States to correct the problem.
Corvette ZR1 price bombshell
Thu, 25 Sep 2008By Greg Fountain Motor Industry 25 September 2008 14:37 General Motors has pitched the Corvette into the price stratosphere by announcing that the 206mph ZR1 will retail at an eye-watering £109,000 in the UK. It may be the fastest car ever built by GM, but the new 'Vette now enters big-time supercar territory, where it will need to have the quality to match its ballistic performance. The outrageous price tag is the biggest shock since we found out how genuinely brilliant the ZR1 is to drive.
