New Subaru WRX teased ahead of Los Angeles Auto Show debut
Tue, 12 Nov 2013New Subaru WRX teased ahead of Los Angeles Auto Show debut There’s still no guarantee that Subaru UK will import the new WRX and put it on sale in the UK, but the production version of the new WRX will be revealed at the Los Angeles Auto Show this month to whet appetites. We expect there will be strong similarities between the production version of the new WRX and the WRX Concept we saw at the New York Show earlier this year, and this first teaser image does seem to show that. The statement bonnet scoop is firmly in place – with sharp crease lines flanking it – as is Subaru’s heaxagonal grill with a butch front bumper with big air intakes and mesh inserts.
Approved mechanics essential for quality service
Wed, 27 Nov 2013DRIVERS need to make sure their car is being properly serviced by a qualified mechanic, says the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI). To help drives do this, it has launched a government-backed scheme called the Professional Register. While there are around 175,000 people in the UK who call themselves automotive technicians, the IMI says it can only recommend around 27,000 as having the required skills and competence to carry out work to the required standard in their specialism.
Top Gear in Icelandic Volcano
Fri, 09 Apr 2010Top Gear tackle a live Volcano in a Toyota in Iceland Top Gear is off air at the moment – if you don’t count the endless repeats on BBC2, BBC3 and Dave – and that usually means that the boys are off somewhere exotic. And so they are – this time to an active volcano in Iceland. It looks as if the boys have take the same Toyota they used in the trip to the North Pole – with May and Clarkson in the Toyota and Hamster on a sled – and done a modification or three to suit the heat instead of the cold.
