1975 JC Whitney catalog: A bonanza of aftermarket Volkswagen goodies

Back before there was the Internet, or even big car-parts chain stores, there was the JC Whitney catalog. Printed on cheap, pulpy paper and featuring tens of thousands of tiny, hand-drawn illustrations, these thick books gave me many hours of enjoyment in the early 1980s, as I fantasized about how I'd modify my incredibly sketchy and hooptified '58 Beetle. Now I've picked up a 1975 JC Whitney catalog, and the Volkswagen section is even better than I remembered!

First glimpse of the new Corvette ahead of NAIAS debut

The first video and teaser shots of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette have emerged, offering just a glimpse of what we can expect when it is launched at the NAIAS in Detroit in January. Kia readies new minivan after Sedona exits in 2013

Kia has dropped its Sedona minivan for the 2013 model year, but the automaker expects to return to the segment. Kia spokesman James Hope confirmed the Sedona's departure. He said Kia likely will field another people mover but he declined to say when or what it might look like.
