Legendary car engineer Gordon Murray has revealed exclusively to CAR Magazine that he is working on eight new cars. Seven are lightweight, low-emissions cars based on his radical new iStream manufacturing technique, and the last is a new supercar that he says will have 'an enormous amount in common' with his iconic McLaren F1.You read CAR's first full appraisal of the T25 in the new September 2010 issue of CAR Magzine, out on 18 August. While BMW employs a digitally sanitized/perfected sound file to give M5 owners the proper sense of aggro urgency when motoring at pace, Porsche went a little more organic with its employment of a sound symposer to feed the 911's flat-six growl into the cabin of the extra-refined 991. Essentially, the sound symposer is an electrically controlled diaphragm in a tuned sound tube that brings the proper engine noises into the passenger compartment. It can be opened and closed by the car's onboard electronics to offer snarl when you want it and serenity when you don't.

Chevrolet has unveiled its new seventh-generation Corvette, the Stingray, at the 2013 North American International Auto Show. The Stingray's exterior and interior have been completely redesigned from the outgoing model. A stainless steel bar splits the broad grille horizontally at the base of the sleek hood, which is raked with lines and air intake vents.
