Sold as Kit    |    Item Details: ---

Info:
These front suspension packages make it easier to begin transforming your Model A frame into a rolling chassis. Kits include a 48" I-beam axle, radius rods, leaf spring and shackles. Kit works well with the SM300 Pro Shocks (shocks not included).

Axle kit designed to work with frame #916-57047. Plain version.

Application:
All I-beam axles use the Ford spindle. We have brake kits with both Chevy and Ford bolt patterns available for the Ford spindle.

The brake kit you select will determine the final track width (hub to hub). The brake kits intended for this application (the Wilwood or our 702-4475 Metric brake kit) produce a final track width of about 56-1/4". Some of the other brake kits (like the 916-31903), which are not recommended for this application, would increase the track width by over an inch.

Lower that FordPOPS from Houston, Texas
I like the 4 inch dropped Super Bell axle assy. Good price. I like the batwing brackets with radius rods. I had to buy better spring shackles and spring u-bolts. The shackles bushings were plastic or nylon and they would have never held up. I had to order them from an antique Ford parts house.I'm using this assy under a 1928 Ford pickup. I also ordered a disc brake assy to add to this front end.
Pros Love the Super Bell axle, Durable, Easy To Use, Love the radius rods
Yes, I recommend this product.

Front End AssemblyRandall Bowman from Springfield, MO
[...] I needed a front brake rotor kit with a 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern. The only one available was the 11.75" Impala conversion. The front end kit went together extremely well until I came to the drop arms, which would not work. I went back online to get the customer service number to see what was going on. Before calling I went to the online catalog page to get the part number of the rotor kit. And there is bold print was a note saying the standard drop arms will not work with this rotor kit. It gave the correct part number for flat drop arms. I ordered the right ones right then and sent the ones I had ordered wrong back. [...]
  Pros High-Performance
Yes, I recommend this product.

Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Concept S revealed – it’s a ‘Sporty & Sophisticated’ Outlander PHEV

Mon, 22 Sep 2014

Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Concept S revealed. The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV – the plug-in hybrid version of Mitsubishi’s Outlander – is a terrific buy, if not quite a terrific car, with its plug-in hybrid drivetrain making it a very tax-efficient company car and its price – the same as the diesel alternative – a refreshing surprise. But Mitsubishi are intent on cashing-in on the Outlander PHEV’s success, and earlier this month we got a tease for an Outlander PHEV S which has now been revealed ahead of a debut at the Paris Motor Show next month.

Volkswagen CrossBlue SUV Concept: 2013 Detroit Auto Show

Mon, 14 Jan 2013

Volkswagen has revealed a new SUV concept – the VW Crossblue – at the Detroit Auto show, previewing a new 7-seat SUV for North America. But this particular VW SUV isn’t heading to a VW showroom near you, instead it’s designed to accommodate seven full-size Americans (well, six in the concept and seven in the production version) in an SUV that will be bigger than the Touareg, but less costly. Sitting on the (obviously very flexible, considering the size of the CrossBlue) MQB platform that underpins the Golf, the CrossBlue looks like it’s probably a stretched version of the next generation Tiguan, complete with VWs new SUV design language featuring a less flowing style with more angular lines and a blunt, statement nose.
