New vehicle labels to compare fuel economy, emissions with U.S. average

Window sticker labels will show how new vehicles' fuel economy and emissions levels compare with the U.S. fleet average starting in the 2013 model year, the Obama administration said Wednesday. The new federal rules carry out a 2007 law that requires labels to put new vehicles in fleetwide context for fuel economy, greenhouse gases and smog-forming pollutants.

Dodge Journey is getting rebadged as the Fiat Freemont for Europe You might as well get used to this. Cross-pollination and re-badging between Chrysler and Fiat is going to move on apace in 2011 and this is just the start, with the recently re-fettled Dodge Journey being tweaked and re-badged for Europe as the Fiat Freemont. Sergio Marchionne sees the Journey doing much better in Europe badged as a Fiat, and he’s probably right.

Tomorrow McLaren will unveil its new McLaren P1, ditto Ferrari its Enzo successor, but on the eve of the 2013 Geneva motor show Lamborghini has just tried to trump the pair with the Veneno. The P1 is priced at £866k, the Ferrari will likely cost just as much, but you'll need £3m for a Veneno... £3m?!
