Koenigsegg at Geneva Motor Show: Koenigsegg Agera +video
Tue, 02 Mar 2010The Koenigsegg Agera hits the floor at Geneva We managed to uncover information on the Koenigsegg Agera early on, following on from the chat we had with Koenigsegg when they told us they would be bringing ‘Something New’ to the Geneva Motor Show. Volkswagen Golf Economy Range launched
Sun, 05 Jul 2009Volkswagen has released a range of Eco cars - The VW Golf Economy Range With the obsession by car makers with CO2 emissions (but only because Governments structure their targets on CO2 levels) the aim of these Eco Golfs is to trim CO2 levels down, and they’ve succeeded in getting the whole Golf Economy Range under 120g/km, and the Golf BlueMotion down to 107g/km. Three versions of the 1.6 TDi are offered – a 90PS version, a 105PS version and a 105PS BlueMotion version. VW has achieved the lower emissions with aerodynamic tweaks, longer gear ratios and regenerative braking.
Car making mysterious noises? There's an app for that
Wed, 30 Apr 2014You may pride yourself on your ability to diagnose a developing engine problem by sound alone, and then replicate said mystery sound, Click-and-Clack-style, to amuse/annoy your friends and coworkers. ClingClanger is a new phone app that's designed for the rest of the world -- those who can't identify piston slap by sound and are startled by the clicking caused by a dying battery. The natural impulse is to simply crank up the radio and hope the noise/problem goes away.
