BMW teams up with U.S. Olympic Committee

The ultimate driving machine is helping Team USA reach for gold medals. BMW Group announced on Monday that it has been named the official mobility partner of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) through 2016. BMW will also work with four national governing bodies, USA bobsled and skeleton, speed skating, swimming and track and field.

Session One: 'The multi-mode interior' Conducted by Mark West, Chair of Transportation Design at CCS, the day's first session explored how vehicle designers can develop a versatile environment for urban dwellers. Ikuro Horii, general manager, Toyota Horii took to the podium to cite the example of the brand's GT86, which has room for up to four wheels in the trunk for the track but enough room in the back for the kids and shopping.

Hyundai has teamed up with Korean pop stars to create an album of music inspired by the new i40, New Generation i30 and Veloster. We’ve loved the way Hyundai has moved its products on from  Halford’s special to mainstream credible in quick sticks, and their PR teams have been on the ball too with good initiatives and a willingness to make things happen. But we’re not too sure how effective a new album of music by Korea’s K-Pop stars – inspired, we’re told, by the new i40, New Generation i30 and Veloster – is as a marketing tool.
