New never used Chute Metal Racing Products Racing # L6 727 TFL transmission blanket for the Chrysler 727 Torqueflite transmission. Multiple layers of "ballistic" material are used to capture exploding shrapnel. Purchased new in 1998 and it sat in a box ever since. It does meet  SFI 4-1 specifications. I do not know if it is acceptable in all racing sanctions. This is made for the 727 trans, not a universal.  It is brand new in perfect condition. Not in original box. Heavy box. Can be picked up to eliminate shipping cost. Located 30 minutes west of Chicago IL.

    Subaru showed two other concepts alongside the Levorg at the Tokyo Motor Show – both of which are interesting, neither of which came with very much information. The Subaru Viziv Evolution proposes a three-motor hybrid all-wheel drive system, similar to that under development by Honda, while the Subaru Cross Sport Design concept appears to be nothing less than a shooting brake estate version of the BRZ.     Scots Take Most Pride In Keeping Cars Clean

    A TELL-ALL survey of over 1,000 motorists across the country has revealed a North/South divide between the drivers of Great Britain when it comes to car hygiene. The poll conducted by IMO Car Wash Group discovered that people in the south of the country are the dirty rascals of Great Britain, with just 45 percent cleaning a car at least once a month. On the other hand, the Scottish shone through as the cleanest motorists, with 60 percent washing their car at least once a month.

    Corporate track-days at the Bedford Autodrome will get lairier in 2012 - Somerset-based Ariel has announced it’ll supply ten cars for the PalmerSport track-day events next year. Stopping short of the unhinged Atom V8, the PalmerSport-spec cars get the normally aspirated 245bhp Civic Type-R engine, and some key changes to set it aside from the Joe-Public Atom. The Palmer-spec car will get a Sadev paddle-shift sequential gearbox, which swaps ratios in 60 milliseconds, whilst some choice chassis mods optimise the Atom for its full-time track-toy brief.
