Carr Magazine, the insider publication for the car design community, is reaching out via its Kickstarter campaign to fund its fifth issue. Carr has always prided itself on ad-free pages and continual focus on the future of car design but to do this needs some help from its readers as the team looks to improve its circulation and bolster content. UK car manufacturing jumps 12%

CAR PRODUCTION is accelerating ahead, driven by demand from Europe, according to the latest figures. A total of 142,158 cars were manufactured in the UK in March - a 12% rise on the March 2013 figure, the Society of Motor Manufacturers (SMMT) said. Last month's figure brought the 2014 production total to nearly 405,000 - a 2.9% increase on the January-March 2013 total.

Art Center student's clothing company with a cause

In addition to studying automotive design at Art Center College of Design, student Mason Watson also runs his own automotive clothing company called Cars For A Cure Apparel. Set up a year ago, the venture was established in honor of Watson's mother, who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2008. Every purchase made on the Cars For A Cure Apparel website includes a 20 percent donation to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
