Mazda has revealed that it will unveil its new 2014 Mazda6 sedan, the second model bearing its new generation design language following on from the CX-5 crossover., at the Moscow motor show on 29 August. Although very few details have been released, it's clear from these teaser images that it's closely related to last year's Takeri concept car in terms of both surfacing and graphics. The car, designed under the new KODO ‘Soul of Motion' design language, incorporates the full range of SKYACTIV technologies.

Latest news: what Magna's deal means for GM Europe By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 29 May 2009 19:31 Canadian parts giant Magna this afternoon struck an agreement in principle to buy stricken GM's European arm, Opel and Vauxhall. The agreement has not yet been confirmed publicly and is still in the early phase, but brings to an end an uncomfortable round of talks in the past 48 hours which saw a spat between American negotiators and European politicians, and Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne walking away from the table.Once sealed, the deal must first be approved by the German government, which is to provide interim funding to the new owners. Porsche will return to the track in 2012 with the third generation of its rolling laboratory, the 911 GT3 R hybrid. The company continues to push its technology, noting its future in the sport. “There is no way around the hybrid technology in motorsport,” said Wolfgang Hatz, board member for research and development.
