Audi is pulling weight out of its A8 limousine and sticking in more power in an effort to stem the expected upsurge from Mercedes-Benz’s all-new S-Class, also being unveiled for the first time at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The all-wheel drive Audi, which is the top-of-the-range Audi limo, may only change a little visually but delivers big upgrades in its driver assistance systems, as well as tightening its fuel consumption by up to 10%. 2010 Ford Escape SUV to enhance safety technology

When the 2010 Ford Escape hits showrooms this summer, it will offer an expanded list of safety technologies. Building upon the Escape's full five-star crash rating are Ford's new MyKey teen-safety system and an integrated spotter mirror. MyKey (standard on XLT and Limited models) allows owners to program the key to limit the Escape's top speed and audio volume.

Ford to make three-cylinder EcoBoost engine, eight-speed transmission

UPDATED: Ford is taking a look at the powertrain of its future, and in a nutshell, it's going to be small--at least under the hood. That's because the Blue Oval is preparing a 1.0-liter, three-cylinder EcoBoost engine, claimed to be the smallest engine the company has ever built. Ford says this baby EcoBoost will offer output comparable to a normally aspirated 1.6-liter, four-cylinder powerplant.
