I bought this caliper on ebay earlier this year for my 1990 Topkick ambulance, but when I got around to mounting it (months later), it was not a direct fit.  The caliper on my truck is larger.

I'm not sure what years/models this caliper fits, but it seems to be common to mid-1990's GMC/Chev C6500 Kodiak/Topkick.  I will be happy to answer any questions to help you confirm it will replace your caliper.  I've added pictures with a tape measure to assist.

The condition, as far as I can tell, is new and perfect.  It was advertised as "NEW USA MADE Front Disc Brake Caliper Chevy C6500 Kodiak" when I bought it.  It was not mounted, and has only been removed from its plastic wrapping briefly.

This auction has no reserve, so you may be able to get this for 1/2 the price I paid.

Please note I've chosen not to offer a return if it doesn't fit (more hassle than it's worth).

Thanks for looking.

Microsoft demos Apple CarPlay rival

Fri, 11 Apr 2014

The battle between Microsoft and Apple is being fought on the desktop, on the smartphone and now in the car. At its Build 2014 developer conference, held earlier this month in San Francisco, Microsoft demoed an early version of Windows In The Car, its response to Apple's CarPlay system we saw at the Geneva Show back in March. As you'd expect, In The Car's design follows the look of Microsoft's latest Windows and Window Phone operating system pretty closely.

Foreign language theory test scrapped

Mon, 07 Apr 2014

FROM TODAY the driving test in the UK must be taken in English or Welsh, after long-standing rules permitting foreign language speakers to sit the test were removed. Theory tests have previously been available with voiceovers in 19 foreign languages and candidates could use an interpreter on both the theory and practical driving tests. But changes that come into effect today were introduced after a consultation showed more than 70% supported the withdrawal of foreign language voiceovers and interpreters.

Porsche 911 GT3 RS

Mon, 05 Jun 2006

Porsche has released pictures of the most intense 997 yet, the GT3 RS. Due to be released in spring next year in North America, the RS produces 415PS from its naturally-aspirated 3.6l flat-six, enough for a 0-62mph time of 4.2 seconds. Power is sent through the rear wheels only, whose surrounding shoulders widen by 43mm to accommodate the extra track.
