Subaru VIZIV concept to premiere in Geneva
Thu, 07 Feb 2013Subaru has released the first image of its new VIZIV concept vehicle ahead of its debut at next month's Geneva motor show. The preview shows a hexagonal matte black grille design framed by C-shaped headlamps underlined by a character line that stretches along the side. A framing character line also pronounces the wheelarches, while the hood is highly sculpted.

Thu, 25 Jun 2009The BMW 1 Series Lifestyle - available as a 118d or a 120i First up is the BMW 1 Series Lifestyle, which gets a Marakesh Brown paint job (BMW’s favourite colour it would seem at the moment – the new BMW X1 cars are all showing up in that colour), interior components in matching colour, chrome tipped exhaust and 17″ alloys. The second limited edition is the BMW 1 Series Sport, which gets an M-Sports package (including sports suspension, steering wheel and gearlever), unique double-spoke alloys and stainless steel pedals. Both the 1 Series Limited Editions will be available in either 3 or 5 door versions, and you can have either the 2.0 litre petrol – 170bhp and 0-60mph in 7.8 seconds – or the 2.0 litre diesel – 143bhp and 0-60mph in 9 seconds.
GM continues work on fuel-saving engine technology
Wed, 20 May 2009Sometime in the next decade, you might be able to enjoy some of the benefits of a diesel without driving one. A technology called HCCI improves fuel economy 15 percent and releases fewer emissions by using a combustion process similar to what is used in diesel powerplants. General Motors continues work on the project, which could be applied across a range of engine sizes and used with other advanced fuel-saving technologies to help the company comply with the proposed new mileage and emissions targets announced Tuesday by President Barack Obama.
