Volkswagen Touran Match released
Tue, 28 Jul 2009Volkswagen has announced the VW Touran Match It’s hard to get excited about the Touran, with its boxy profile and drab – though comfortable – interior. But it’s very practical with its three rows of seats, which can actually be removed (they aren’t too heavy) giving you a very useful van for lugging gubbins around. But the Touran is a decent enough drive, even if the ride is a bit on the firm side., and its build quality shows through in the distinct lack of shake, rattle and roll.
Ford B-Max: Official
Mon, 28 Feb 2011Ford B-Max launches at Geneva It’s been a while coming – the Ford B-Max – but it’s finally arrived today in Geneva. Ford’s replacement for the now venerable Fusion is the B-Max, a car which, had it not been for Ford’s financial woes, would have been here last year. Still, better late than never – and it looks a big jump on from the Fusion.
The Mini is 50 years old today
Fri, 08 May 2009Today - 08/05/2009 - is the 50th anniversary of the first Mini rolling off the production line. To celebrate, and for a bit of free publicity (see, we’re playing the game) BMW has shipped the first Mini to roll of the production line back to Cowley to celebrate (picture at the bottom). 621 AOK, a Mini Minor, in Old English White, looks as fresh as the day it rolled off the production line half a century ago (although I wouldn’t mind betting it doesn’t have it’s original sills – they always rusted through – or copes with its original distributor and leads – one splash of rain and the car ground to a halt!).
