Polymatrix BP-40 Smart Pad Compound:  Race ONLY compound used in severe duty oval, road course, and off-road series that require an aggressive response and durability in the highest temperature ranges. Lightweight sprints and club sport racers using steel plate rotors that require fast response at low temperatures with resistance to fade during periodic or temporary high temperature spikes. Very high friction compound with aggressive initial response. Long wear rate for severe duty, sustained high temperature braking. Immediate low temperature response for qualifying laps, restarts, and any other applications requiring high response at low temperatures.

It’s Aston Martin’s first four-door car and will cost around £150,000 when sales start in early 2010. No, because Aston Martin admits the rear seats are only suitable for children, or adults on shorter journeys.

'Vespa Segway' unveiled in Spain

A SPANISH company has revealed what must be the coolest-looking Segway ever made, built using parts designed for classic Vespa scooters. Standard Segway scooters are, let’s face it, a bit dull, especially in the styling stakes, which is why Barcelona-based Bel&Bel has built this. Officially called the Zero Scooter, it uses ordinary Segway running gear but wrapped in much, much jazzier Vespa clothes.

General Motors spending $131 million to upgrade Corvette plant

General Motors is spending $131 million on its Bowling Green, Ky., assembly plant to prepare it to build the next-generation Corvette. The plant will spend the money on manufacturing equipment, specialized tooling and plant updates, said Mark Reuss, GM's president of North America. The plant will add about 250 jobs, which will boost its workforce by about 50 percent, to about 750 workers.
