The Roof Luggage Rack by Rage Powersports provides generous cargo space on the roof of your vehicle. It easily attaches to your vehicle's cross bars using four U-bolts. The cargo rack's universal U-bolts can accommodate square cross bars up to 3-1/4" wide x 1-3/8" thick or round bars up to 1-3/8" in diameter. The 6-1/4" tall and 1" diameter side rails and bottom metal bars help keep your cargo in place and provide plenty of tie down points. The roof luggage rack has a durable black powder coated steel construction, and is easy to assemble and install. A steel wind fairing is also included with this cargo basket, decreasing wind resistance and noise while giving it a sleek look. The Land Rover Defender is to be built outside the UK in a new plant in Sri Lanka to produce Defenders for the region. Land Rover are assisting and training staff at a new assembly plant in Hambantota, Sri Lanka, run by Sathosa Motors PLC in a 50-50 deal with Land Rover distributors SML Frontier Automotive, with $1 million being invested to get the project up and running this year. It seems clear from the level of investment that this is simply an assembly operation using CKD kits from the UK for the Defender, but Sri Lank’s Daily News is reporting that there are plans to invest $500 million in the project.
The Volvo concepts Coupe, XC Coupe and Estate have whetted the appetites of those keen to see new senior VP design president, Thomas Ingenlath's, renaissance of the brand since the former was shown in Frankfurt last September. The first product of these advanced design is the much-needed, all-new XC90 and Volvo has decided to lead its gradual unveiling with its interior. Led by new interior design director Robin Page – formerly head of Bentley interiors – the new SUV's cabin incorporates many of the concepts' elements, most notably the vertical, tablet-style center screen, incorporating Apple Carplay amongst its software.

Honda will show a concept of the next-generation Pilot at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2008. Although the Americans call it ‘midsize’ the current car is hardly small: at 4775mm long it’s over 200mm longer than a BMW X3 so expect the new car to be as big as the X5. However, that means the concept can offer seating for eight.
