Renault inaugurates Global Design Studio in Mumbai

The Renault Design India Studio is the sixth edition to Renault's international network of satellite design centres following those in Barcelona, Paris, Kihueng (Korea), Sao Paolo and Bucharest (Romania) and is the third to be inaugurated this year. Saab gets latest lifeline via $5 million infusion from Chinese company
Tue, 13 Dec 2011Saab has been on the edge of collapse since a cash shortage early this year forced it to halt production. Now Automotive News reports that a last-minute payment from China's Zhejiang Youngman Lotus Automobile has given the Swedish carmaker yet another shot. Youngman wants to get a stake in Saab and has taken the first step by giving the company $5 million to cover tax expenses, with another $26.43 million forthcoming for unpaid salaries and $13.18 million more before the end of December.
Honda recalls the CR-V, CR-Z for fixes
Mon, 05 Sep 2011Honda is recalling CR-V crossovers to fix a window switch that could start a fire, and the CR-Z hybrid with manual transmission to make a change to the powertrain software. The new Honda recall is part of a global recall of nearly 960,000 vehicles, including the Honda Fit, for problems with the window switch and the hybrid powertrain. The recall for the Honda CR-V covers 80,111 crossovers from the 2006 model year.
