Dana Point concours to feature Le Mans legends and Shelby hot rods

The 30th-annual Dana Point Concours d'Elegance at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort will highlight “Legends of Le Mans: Racing in the '60s” and celebrate the 50th anniversary of Shelby American. A TEMPORARY TOLL road made from rolled chippings has been opened in south-west England. Businessman Mike Watts decided to open the thoroughfare to bypass a closed section of the A431 between Bath and Bristol. The Kelston Road was shut in February following a landslip and officials say it will not be repaired until the end of the year.

Brands Hatch Revs Up For Porsche Festival

PORSCHE fans will have a good reason to visit Brands hatch next month, as Porsche Club GB will host a new festival event at the Kent circuit on 21 September. Organised by circuit owner MSV in association with Porsche Club GB and supported by Porsche Cars GB, this will be the Club’s premier national event for 2014. In addition to a variety of on-track action, the venue is expected to be surrounded by all types and ages of Porsche, from the 356 of the 1950s to the very latest plug-in hybrid 918 Spyder super sportscar.
