Another rain soaked qualifying at the 2013 Malaysian Grand Prix saw Sebastian Vettel take pole for Red Bull, beating the Ferrari’s of Massa and Alonso. It’s always sunny in Australia,  but it wasn’t last week for qualifying in the Australian Grand Prix. And this weekend hasn’t been much better in Malaysia.

Volvo's view on the 2014 XC90 The Volvo XC90 is still a capable cross between a luxury SUV and a Crossover (as we discovered recently when we played with the XC-90 R-Design for a week), but it is now very ancient. Launched in 2002, the XC90 has soldiered on essentially unchanged (bar some tweaks and the R-Design options), yet despite that it’s still a credible option with some very appealing traits. At the New York auto show last month, we learned that the BMW X1 compact SUV would be coming to the United States. Now we know that it will arrive on our shores in fall 2012, with a base price of $31,545 including $895 destination. According to BMW, the X1 has been a tremendous success, with more than 275,000 copies sold worldwide.
