This lower unit would be perfect for the guy who fixing up a vintage Evinrude or Johnson and looking for a period or models correct parts or for the guy who needs this assembly to get that older vintage outboard back on the water. OEM Evinrude/Johnson complete lower unit assembly as shown above, OMC part #382587 and 0382792 on the gearcase itself. Unit is a 4 spline model. Driveshaft measures 19 3/4" from the top of the mounting surface to the tip of the shaft. ..

Now as noted, this assembly was pulled from a 1968 Evinrude 5hp,, but this style lower unit was used on some late 1960s and early 1970s 3hp, 4hp, 5hp and 6hp models but please check your dealer or old lower unit for more applications and fit.
