VW has confirmed the 313mpg XL1 will be built in limited numbers, around 50 of which are earmarked for UK sale. Cecilia Abadie was stopped by police in California who said the Google Glass digital spectacles fell foul of laws banning drivers from watching TV when behind the wheel.
