Peugeot HR1 concept

Alongside the new 508, Peugeot unveiled a B-segment SUV concept called the HR1 in Paris. The new car builds on the new design identity established by the SR1 concept, but also features elements of the diminutive BB1 concept revealed at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show. Honda plans plant for CVT builds

Honda Motor Co. plans to build a $470 million factory in Celaya, Mexico, to assemble continuously variable transmissions. The factory will operate alongside a plant under construction that's scheduled to build the next-generation Fit hatchback and a Fit-based crossover.

First Sight: Daimler-BYD electric car design renderings leak out

Computer renderings of an electric car, being jointly developed by BYD Co., a Chinese battery and car producer that began making cars only less than a decade ago, and Daimler AG with more than a century of experience - were leaked for the second time this year. The car marks a critical juncture for the young Chinese carmaker based in the south China industrial hub of Shenzhen, just a stone's throw away from Hong Kong. It is also a key initiative in China, now the world's biggest auto market, for Daimler.
