Chevrolet Mi-ray concept gets a new ‘mid-electric' hybrid powertrain

General Motors Co. has unveiled a sporty South Korean-developed concept car that showcases a "mid-electric" hybrid powertrain that can run on electric-only front-wheel drive or tap a gasoline engine to turn the rear wheels for extra power. Dubbed the Chevrolet Mi-ray, Korean for "future," the compact, open roadster gets a carbon fiber body mounted on an aluminum chassis for lightweight performance.

Jaguar to launch C-X75 supercar in 2013

The Jaguar C-X75, the breath-taking hybrid supercar that stole the spotlight at the Paris motor show, will become reality in late 2013. Jaguar announced plans on Friday morning in London to build a production version of the car, and it will make just 250 examples from 2013 to 2015 as part of a partnership with Williams F1. Russo and Steele auction remains closed

The Russo and Steele Collector Automobile Auction remained closed on Saturday as work crews continued to asses damage and clean up from high winds that destroyed two tents at the auction site in Scottsdale, Ariz., on Thursday night. In a message posted on the Russo and Steele Web site, CEO Drew Alcazar said he would meet with consignors of the cars at the auction on Saturday morning. He added that the auction would remain closed on Saturday but that Russo and Steele would work to hold auction sessions on Sunday and Monday.
