up for auction is a nissan clsd differential. this came with a 1978 280z i purchased to be used as an upgrade to the normal non posi unit. i have not used the unit but i did have it checked out by a nissan person more knowledgeable than me. so i will pass all of that info along. if something is not correct, please let me know. the gear ratio is 371 which should make it from a 1989 300zx. it should be a bolt in swap for any Z from 1975 to 1989. your original axles are supposed to work with this. i was told that it would also work in the 240 or 260 z but you would need a moustache bar from a 280. he was not exactly sure of that though. the inside is very clean with no visible damage. it is empty of oil and will be shipped that way. the outside is very clean also. it was checked on the bench and both axle gears turned in the same direction when the pinion was turned. i was told these are hard to find as not alot were made. i simply don't need it as i am happy with my z the way it is. i have listed all i know about this and any info i have learned. please ask any questions prior to bidding. shipping will be to the continental U.S. only

Kia readies new minivan after Sedona exits in 2013
Wed, 16 May 2012Kia has dropped its Sedona minivan for the 2013 model year, but the automaker expects to return to the segment. Kia spokesman James Hope confirmed the Sedona's departure. He said Kia likely will field another people mover but he declined to say when or what it might look like.
2013 Chevy, GMC trucks recalled for roll-away risk
Fri, 04 Jan 2013General Motors is recalling 69,000 2013 full-size trucks and vans that could shift out of “park” and roll away. The recall impacts the Cadillac Escalade; the Chevrolet Avalanche, Express, Silverado HD and LD, and Suburban and Tahoe; and the GMC Savana, Sierra HD and LD, and Yukon and Yukon XL. The trucks may have been built with a fractured park-lock cable, or a deformed steering-column lock-actuator gear in the lock-module assembly.

Tue, 10 Sep 2013The new BMW i8 Hybrid (pictured) will cost £100k in the UK The BMW i8 jas finally arrived in production guise at the Frankfurt Motor show, neatly creating the top end of BMW’s new i-brand range after the BMW i3 underlined the starting point. Looking really quite appealing, the i8 uses the same carbon fibre reinforced plastic bodyshell and aluminium chassis construction as the i3, but whereas the i3 is built to be a city car, the i8 is the closest we’re likely to get to a 21st century version of the BMW M1. Similar in size to the Audi R8, the BMW i8 is a 2+2 with a 3-cylinder 1.5 litre engine and generator sitting at the back and driving the rear wheels and an electric motor at the front driving the front wheels, with a petrol tank at the back and the batteries for the electric motor stored in the centre tunnel.
