I am selling some steel mounting plates that came out of a 2013 Nissan Leaf battery. There are 4 base plates and 4 top plates.

Each set of base/top plate will hold two "stacks" of Nissan leaf battery modules.

Included are the long bolts that would allow you to make two plates of 4x modules (2 stacks of 2) and 2 plates of 8x modules (2 stacks of 4) (12 short bolts and 12 long bolts). [But you could substitute your own bolts to make taller stacks...)

Basically, this is a ready made mounting system for 24 modules (half of the pack Leaf pack).

Their were originally 2 base plates that held 4 stacks of modules in the Leaf battery, but I cut them in half to get 4 base plates that hold 2 stacks of modules each.

The overall weight is 34 lbs of steel so shipping will cost some money.

The last few pictures above auction shows a stack of Nissan Leaf modules mounted on the plates for illustrative purposes only, THE BATTERY MODULES ARE NOT INCLUDED. The very last picture shows a base plate BEFORE IT WAS CUT IN HALF. THE BASE PLATES ARE CUT IN HALF.

Mercedes SLS AMG – production begins

Thu, 28 Jan 2010

The Mercedes SLS AMG has gone in to production in Germany I don’t know why – as Mercedes hadn’t previously announced it – but we guessed that they’d already started to put the Mercedes SLS AMG in to production ready for the first customer cars to start hitting in the Spring. But apparently they’ve only just started. The SLS AMG is due to arrive in Germany at the end of March at a base price of €177,310 and is being produced at the Mercedes factory in Sindelfengen, Germany.
