Peugeot 2008: First photos arrive
Sat, 05 Jan 2013The first photos of the Peugeot 2008 – an SUV / Crossover version of the new 208 – have arrived ahead of an official reveal next week. Peugeot’s new offering in the compact SUV sector is the Peugeot 2008 – a compact crossover version of the new 208 – which we saw first at the Beijing Motor Show last year as the Peugeot Urban Crossover Concept and now, ahead of an official reveal next week, we have the first official photos of the new 2008. So far, we have no real detail on what’s under the bonnet, but visually the production version of the 2008 seems little changed from the concept – which means a decent-looking offering for a competitive market place.
Car Design News – GM Interactive Design Competition Winners Announced at NAIAS
Tue, 10 Jan 2012Car Design News and General Motors today announced the eight winners of their interactive design competition in an awards ceremony on the Cadillac stand at the North American International Auto Show 2012 (NAIAS). Over 300 design students from across the USA and Canada entered the Car Design News-GM Interactive Design Competition, launched in Spring 2011. Entrants were challenged to design both an interior and an exterior design for one of GM's four brands – Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC – each of which set a unique brief.
Toyota TRD GT86 UK bound
Wed, 18 Jul 2012The Toyota TRD GT86 – a titivated GT86 – is heading for the UK as a special edition of Toyota’s new sports car. The Toyota GT86 (and, for that matter, the Subaru BRZ) is exactly the sort of car Toyota should be building in the 21st century; good looking, fun and affordable, it fills a niche Toyota have long been absent from. The only drawback has been a feeling that the GT86 could be more aggressive than it is and, to a degree, the Toyota TRD GT86 fixes that.
