Sometimes a very ordinary car becomes something special, maybe even loved, but that's not always enough to keep it out of the jaws of the crusher. This is the story of a second-gen Toyota Tercel wagon (known in Japan as the Sprinter Carib) and its journey from auction to lumber-hauler to kid transportation to a Chinese steel factory. Ford unveils Mustang 50th anniversary logo

Ford is gearing up for a year-long celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Mustang in 2014, and revealed a logo Tuesday to be used on fan merchandise. The anniversary logo uses the traditional galloping pony in silhouette, placed above the words “50 years.” Ford designer Michael Thompson is credited with creating the anniversary logo. The logo will either be white on a black background or black on white, Ford says.

2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed set for Goodwood debut

Bentley is unleashing its fastest production model, the Continental GT Speed, on June 29 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The car can be ordered now and is expected to begin arriving in October as a 2013 model. The flagship model will pump out a whopping 616 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque from a twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12 powerplant, allowing for a top speed of 205 mph.
